Soccer Icon would like to thank everyone who has signed up to follow us on facebook and twitter.
We would also like to thank everyone for supporting our new method of Assessment Game Place Confirmations, which, posted on facebook and twitter, have become very popular and easy to keep track of.
A fantastic way of keeping up to date with even less effort is to use Trillian instead of windows live messenger, as trillian features built-in twitter compatibility, which means as soon as we tweet your confirmation place, you will be notified! Easy.
After a successful week in Manchester and London, we loaded up the cars and prepared for the long drive home to Glasgow.
Graeme then realised that the ignition part of his key had snapped off... so we spent about an hour walking up and down the pitch looking for the offending piece of metal.
Needless to say it was nowhere to be found, and Graeme, Stef and Craig spent the next 4 hours seriously considering phoning a pizza as we sat like lemons at QPR's training ground.
A local out-of-hours locksmith came to the rescue at 7.30pm and 'only' charged £170 for the trouble...
This week saw a large number of Soccer Icon Players commit to their studies in the states on great scholarships!

This week's Ladies' assessment game in Shrewsbury was a huge success with our best turnout to date and some great performances from the girls.
A hectic 48 hours... Our journey South began in style with Graeme accidentally stealing a newspaper from Starbucks on Sauchiehall Street.
Dressed inconspicuously in bright red and black Soccer Icon gear, we won't be returning to that branch any time soon...
The weather in Manchester was cold and wet but it didn't stop the players from displaying some nice skills.
We arrived the next day in London to a record turnout of young hopefuls. We had a full six teams and played 3 1-hour games.
Quite a few players caught our eye over the 2 days, and will be hearing from us very soon... so stay tuned!

2009 was another successful year for Soccer Icon's Danielle Connolly as the former Troon Ladies player has a Scottish First Division winner’s medal to show after her second season with Celtic Ladies.
Danni was an ever-present central defender in the team that allowed a miserly 7 goals in the season in which they finished as undefeated champions and her playing season finished on a high scoring 3 goals in the crucial final 2 games to clinch the top spot.
Danni’s season was completed when at the recent award ceremony in the Jock Stein Suite she was awarded the team’s player of the year.
“We had a really great season. We have some great players and a great team spirit that got us through some really tough close games.
It’s a great honour to play for Celtic and the player of the year award presented in Parkhead was a real highlight.“
The players are enjoying a short break before restarting training in preparation for the inaugural ‘summer’ season that starts in March 2010.
This year's event took place at the top-class facilities of Toryglen Regional Football Centre, Glasgow and was a massive hit with players and coaches alike.
Edited highlights and photos are available on our showcase page.
